Why we built SGO
You bought the house. You shouldn't have to pay a monthly fee to open your own garage.
Most smart garage products either ask you to replace a working opener or lock key features behind a subscription. We built SGO to do neither. It upgrades the opener you already have, adds a live camera so you can see what's happening, and it's yours after one purchase.
SGO is designed in Columbus, Ohio. The device, its software, and the app are built in-house, and each unit is set up with its own Device ID and secret activation code before it ships.
It starts with a question almost everyone has asked. You press the remote in the car, back out, and drive off. Five miles down the road, on the way to work, it hits you: did I close the garage? You can't remember pressing the button. Now you either turn around and lose twenty minutes, or you spend the whole day wondering if your garage is standing wide open.
I'm Jim, and that question is why I built SGO. I wanted two simple things: to see my garage from anywhere, and to open or close it from anywhere. With SGO you open the app, look at the live camera, and know in seconds. If it's open, you close it right there, from the parking lot at work. And before the door moves, SGO watches the garage for you and cancels if anyone is in the way.
I designed every part of SGO myself, from the circuit board to the app, here in Columbus, Ohio, and I test it on real garages before it reaches yours. No new opener, no monthly fee. Just the answer to "did I close it?", any time you need it.

Five layers of security
Every SGO is protected by five independent layers. Someone would need all of them to control your garage.

| 3. Your email | Ties the device to you as its registered owner. |
| 4. Your password | Protects your login. The account locks after 5 wrong attempts. |
| 5. Your passcode | 4 to 8 letters or numbers (8 is safest), required for every open or close. |
